You are able to

  • Manage the team’s statistical and empirical modelling activities
  • Lead the DACH OA&R team, currently comprising 6-8 staff
  • Support ongoing analytic activities within the Decision Science department (e.g., serve as a hands-on expert for analytic topics such as cash flow modelling and forecasting), and provide cross-functional leadership for projects and initiatives of significant importance to the department and company
  • Active participation in the department’s Modelling Symposium, which includes discussion of theoretical and methodological papers, peer-review of ongoing projects, topical seminars, and ongoing training focused on effective communications, data visualization, and experimental methods

Your profile includes

  • Master’s degree in business or a quantitative field (e.g., economics or finance) with coursework related to analytic methods and/or statistics
  • 4-6 years’ experience in a related field, likely progressing from early analyst roles to analytic team leadership
  • Significant financial services experience
  • Prior exposure to relevant accounting concepts, including effective interest rate treatment, revenue recognition strategies, the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), HGB (local GAAP) and local German tax regulations would be very helpful
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), prior career   experience using tools such as SAS or R, and working (managerial) knowledge of scorecard development and the application of statistical modelling to business
  • The ability to build relationships (both within the Decision Science team and across the wider business) and work in a fast-paced environment
